When did I start coming to Central? 1970
Why do I come? I first came because it felt right. I stayed because I became involved in the life of the church. I'm still here because God hasn't told me to leave!
Favourite Bible passage Psalm 121; I learned it at school and have always turned to it for comfort and strength.
Favourite song "Father I place into Your hands"
Why? It helped me to come to terms with the death of a friend and then when my daughter went to work in Romania. The whole song talks of trust in God and ends with the words, "I know I always can trust you."
What about home? I live on the Mansbridge Estate in Swaythling; I moved here in 1972 with my husband and 2 daughters.
And work? I worked as a cook at Paint Pots Pre-school & Nursery in Freemantle between 2003 and my retirement in February 2008.
Hobbies Lots! Cooking / entertaining, gardening, needlework, dancing... Looking after my grandchildren, and reading.
Favourite places My home! And the South coast of Devon.
